Shawn Baker began her career in 1996 at the FBI and worked as an analyst before leaving to complete her college degree. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and then transitioned into the private sector, working as a Marketing Manager and Information Technology Specialist.

Driven by her passion for law enforcement, Shawn entered the San Antonio Police Department Academy in 2008; receiving the "Blue Tiger" award for achieving a perfect score on the physical fitness test. Following graduation Shawn served as a police officer for SAPD patrolling the east side of San Antonio.

Shawn later co-founded Baker Private Investigations with her husband, retired FBI Agent Larry Baker, specializing in identifying and locating hard-to-find individuals and connecting them with clients
